About the Artist
Artist Statement
The work of science fiction artist Wendy Robles is visionary. Conjuring images of distant worlds that appear like scenes from a dream or a far away sister planet. Void of human presence, her works feel like a window into a world outside of our own. Her compositions often feature a central figure as the protagonist, depicted within a scene evocative of a grand cosmic moment, an apparition, or a vision of an object in ecstasy. A recurring symbol in Wendy’s work is the “presence”—a form often evoking two eyes. This signature element represents the guides that navigate and influence the course of these worlds.
