Artist Statement

Wendy Robles is a visionary science fiction artist. Conjuring images that appear like scenes from a dream or a far away sister planet. Void of human presence, her works are portals into other worlds, often featuring botanic and celestial elements. A recurring symbol in Wendy’s work is the “presence”—a motif symbolic of two eyes. This signature element represents the guides that navigate the forces at play in the expansive universe.

Bio

Wendy studied at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and comes from a lineage of women from the rural mountains of Mexico.
